General Information

The Hotel Montalembert, long a historic landmark on the Left Bank of Paris, was built in 1926 and re-opened in October 1990 after nearly a year-long, million dollar restoration and refurbishment.

History

The Hotel Montalembert was named after Charles Forbes Montalembert, the famous politician, writer and member of the prestigious Academie Francaise. In 1989, the hotel was purchased by Grace Leo-Andrieu and her husband Stephane, who undertook the meticulous refurbishment of the hotel's 56 rooms and suites.

Location

The Hotel is situated on the left bank's Rue Montalembert.

Food & Beverages

Open 7 days a week, the Restaurant welcomes you for breakfast. Its tasty & inventive cuisine is served continuously from 12 to 10pm. The Bar is open until midnight and proposes a wide range of Champagnes by the glass, an extensive whisky menu and creative cocktails. Everyday, Tea Time offers a rich selection of world teas complemented perfectly by “artisanale” and inventive sweets.

The Salon Gallimard, which owes its name to its large collection of books from the nearby publishing house, remains the corner to see without being seen, it can be privatised for intimate private parties for up to 9 people. Its cosy atmosphere is complemented by a large log fire, which burns during the winter months.

With oversized “Alice in Wonderland” style banquettes and imposing square planters in African Assamella wood, the terrace welcomes you in the warmer months. Enjoy the scene on rue de Montalembert, where it is quite easy to sit all day and watch Parisian life roll past.
