Open:April to October... Meli, Greek for honey, takes its name from the famous golden bee pendant depicting two bees sucking at a drop of honey, which was found at the nearby ancient Palace of Malia. Second only to the great Palace of Knossos, the Palace of Malia belonged to Sarpedon, brother of Minos, the King of Crete.
