General Information

Antique Sicilian "tonnara" of the seventeenth Century, carried back to its original charm through an accurate restoration, covers the whole area of the historic seaside village.

Location

The Hotel Tonnara di Bonagia is located in the immediate proximity to Valderice, on the slopes of Mount Erice, in the picturesque old fishing village of Bonagia 12 kilometres from Trapani and can be reached from the Provincial Road which connects Trapani to St. Vito Lo Capo.

The exclusive hotel estate is situated near the Saracen sighting tower in which is now possible to visit the "Tunny-fishing" Museum.

Airport of Trapani - 9 km. Airport of Palermo - Bonagia 92 km - 49 km motorway.  Airport Catania - Fontanarossa - Bonagia 294 km - 217 km motorway.

Food & Beverages

The “Muciara” restaurant is delightful, looking on to the characteristic little harbour of Bonagia, where the fishermen land fresh fish every morning. Therefore, the cuisine is excellent, using prime quality ingredients and inspired by the noblest Trapani gastronomic traditions, serving unusual and appetising dishes both for lunch and dinner. Its name is taken from the characteristic boat used by the “rais”, head of the “mattanza”.
